Spiritual Egg – Thursday

Luke 22:19–20 & Luke 22:41–44

“This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me. Likewise also the cup... saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you.”

“And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed… and His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland: “In the Garden of Gethsemane, Christ took upon Himself the sins, pains, and sorrows of all mankind. The Sacrament reminds us of that sacred offering and invites us to remember Him always.”

Today’s Invitation: Find a quiet place this evening. Read these verses again slowly. Imagine being in the upper room, and then in Gethsemane with Him. Ponder what it means to you that Christ knowingly entered that garden—for you. Tonight, share with each other how you feel about His gift. End with a short prayer of gratitude together.
